    Exclamation wiring the ballast

I know with electronic ballast polarity doesn't matter (ballast-to-bulb).
    What about coil ballast (regular)??

what ballast? there should be 3 wires from the ballast to the lamp/canopy.
    white/green/black.
    green to canopy [metal]
    white to white of socket
black to black [or somtimes red] of socket. as far as I know polarity doesn't matter with cap&coil either.

Thx Johny, I figred it out.
Iwas not sure then I actually stoped and tought about it.
Bulb is a bulb. I'm up and running now.
I noticed small difference between electronic and magnetic one (at least this one).
The fire-up time is much longer with magnetic ballast.
Also, the light seems more blue then with electronic ballast.
(6 days on 15W PC swirl and 33W NO, maybe my eyes got used to dark LOL)

    Well...thanks anyways.

There are many benefits to electronic ballasts.

The drawback to them, you now know, TAR ballasts are pretty well bullet proof.

Tar ballasts draw more power, push less light, produce more heat and weigh more. They do cost less.

As you know, that is my spare / backup. I'm glad it will help you out.
