    Auto top off system

    Hi,

I just acquired a peristaltic pump that I was thinking, in conjunction with a float switch, would make a nice, even top off system but I don't know anything about float switches.

I have no sump so the float switch would need to be in the tank itself with some sort of remote power on off capability to control the pump. I have seen threads saying that Tang Man makes something but haven't managed to find details.

Anyone know where I can get such a beast?

    Thanks,

The easiest thing to do is to comtact Tang Man and he will hook you up. If I was you I would use something a little different than a per. pump. I think just a regular pump would work just fine. You could leave that pump to drip Kalk or something like that.
    Cheers,

Since you have per. pump already...use it.
If you already know how much water you have to add daily, time the per. pump to see how fast does it pump. then set it on a timer.
If you are going to use kalkwasser reactor, you can set it up inline with the pump.

Ditto. Vince (Tang_Man) has a great product. I bought mine a few years back and it has never failed me. I got mine in two days (Montreal to Ottawa).

Hey has anyone recommended Tang_Man's wonderful product yet?
There is nothing so permanent as a temporary measure.

Pretty clear what I need to get :biglaugh2

On the notion of putting a kalk reactor inline - how would I plumb that in (from the water reservoir to the kalk reactor to the tank) with only one pump?
