    Fans and MH

I can get some 110v/18W heavy duty fans for cheap. Can I run them in parallel with the MH bulbs(from the 2 wires from mogul)? Or it wont work?

    TIA

    I wouldn't if I were you.
Those two wires would fry you'r fan.
TO light up MH there's some high voltage running through those wires.

I agree with Bonaqua! If you try that, you are "cruisin for bruisin". so to speak. hyeah: Not to mention that it could also cause a fire, which you don't want.

How about showing a diagram of what you have and what you would like to do? It would be much easier for us to suggest something safe and viable. Also, what type of ballasts and bulbs do you have.

    Cheers

I bought a $10 fan at walmart, I run it with a timer. its super quiet. what more do you need? it runs better CFM and is more silent than the $70 ICECAP fan I once had.

its weird, I only see them at walmart. they are 1 solid piece, they have a base that has 2 holes. I used these holes to achor it to my canopy. the 2 speed dial is right on the back of the unit. all 1 solid piece. best $10 I ever spent on my tank. super silent and about 6'' diameter.there grey in color.

So I went to the Walmart at Kanata Centrum and they didn't have anything like what you describe. Mostly they had fan forced heaters (seasonal thing, I guess).

I too am having heat issues with my MH so if anyone sees any of these for sale in Ottawa please let me know.

OK. I'll hook them up before the balast or on separate timer(but I'm runing low on plugs in powerbar lol)

I'll post a pic when I get to install the MH. :eveilman:
