    DIY sump

    Well i tried!!!


    alright so here we go



    Full shot.. , Looking to install some more Baffels when i get more acrylic.. But as you can see .. I have water comming through the pipe with a lid to prevent splashing.. lol, And it has a eggcrate bottom alowing me to place some Prefilter when scraping glass.. and to place some Carbon..

    Well with the advice from others who have stated the ovious that Silicone does not stick nice to Acrylic.. lol, So i have gone and siliconed in some old pices of glass from a Eurobrace i broke a while ago!

    Hope it holds.. It should!

    Toooloud,

    Use that white pvc sliding door channel they sell at all the renovation centers.

    Silicone it in a vertical position, one on each pane and after it cures you just slide your acrylic sheet in. :thumb:

    That's how I divided my glass sump ... works great

    Cool.. and you had no issues with it comming lose ?

    For now.. i will leave it like this.. untill i need to add in more baffels if i need too.. lol

    Cool! .. well i will work on this one.. i wish i could go larger! .. just cant do it becouse i could never get the tank under it! .. lol The Darn center support is in the way.

    Oh dont worry.. Im working to have it fixed!

    Just bugging friends for some 2 ton jacks.. lol, Going to use the jacks in front of the tank in either corner and rung a 6x6 across the front of the tank.. and use the Jacks to support the tank.. Then im going to remove the center brace.. and install the newer larger tank when it comes time that i get it.. and i will install it.. wanting a custom 90g.. 36 long, 24 wide and 30 tall...

    Then when its in .. i will reinstall the center brace.. and wella! .. lol
