    CanadianTire Timer, battery hack ;)

    hey guys,
remember those timers we all bought.. the digital ones that come on sale from time to time.. well if you are like me.. the batteries failed a long time ago.
well.. this week.. while browsing around, found an article on taking apart A23 batteries to use in a bunch of devices. so I just had to try

here is the original article and videoclip:

its 1/2 the thinkness as the timer batteries, so you will need to modify the pins inside with either spacers or bend the pins inside a bit.

works like a charm.. total cost for 1 A23 is 5$ has 8 cells inside.. so 4 timers

i'm also going to modify my ph meter to use these as well

oh.. and btw, if it doesn't last long enough, just get a 2x AA holder kit at radioscrap and hotwire it with that.
    should last like forever!

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.
