    HOB refuge part 2

Well I had some time today on my hands and decided to make my hob fuge. I used some 3/8 acrylic, crazy glue, dremel tool and panduit wire mold.
The filter I am using is the top fin filter that came with the tank many years ago. It is a double bin so I will have two seperate fuges.
As you can see, it was pretty dirty to start.

After cleaning it up, I started to piece the pieces together and do some cutting.

I duplicated the one for the other side and cut it out. Now for cutting, I used a dremel tool that can melt the acrylic if used to fast. (also where I protection)

I glued the pieces in with crazy glue. I left a space at the bottom for the baffle and water to be able to enter the other chamber. I also left a space between the intake chamber to put a bag filter to slow some of the flow.

I glued small pieces to close off the intake and direct flow though the baffle.

And finally took some panduit wire mold as teeth for the return. All I have left to do is let the glue dry, silicone the baffles, and glue and silicone the teeth on the return. Simple project, took me a hour to do.
This is only temporary until I make my sump and fuge combo below the tank.

    looks pretty sweet :dft012:

nicely done and good job on documenting it. for a light you can get a cheap clip on light fixture from HD and 15W ( i use the 27w but my fuge is 18" x 18" ) philips compact fluorescent daylight bulb. and i 'm sure someone here could spare a bit of chaeto to get you going.
