It would end up a lot more expensive than ya think once it hits the boarder! I bough my VHO setup in the US and by the time you factor in shipping and brokerage/duty fees your almost at $200!

Sono .. when you are shopping at E-Bay there's a button at the top .. on the right hand side I think that says "view items available in Canada" find the items you want in this category and the shipping , duty, brokerage fees etc will for the most part not be an issue.

When I buy from the states I try to avoid all those extra costs by having things shipped through the post office. I refuse to accept anything through UPS because of their brokerage fees. It takes a little longer but saves you a bundle. Also, I ask the shipper to mark the customs slip as "commercial sample" and then there is no duty at all. I have to get a lot of stuff ifrom the States for work, and I also buy off Ebay. Ususally Ebayers are happy to oblige with the "sample" thing. Most of the time they even put a note on the packing slip that says -" Gail , I hope you like this sample. I can send other colours, etc." HTH.
