    will this ballast work

    hey just wondering if this will light a 96w pc

    just having a quick search online shows that that ballast does work with pc bulbs.. read on this thread.

    as to if it works on 96w.. well the specs say f96t12.. so probebly.. but not 100% sure.

    yea i just saw them in the store in guelph on clearence for 13.99 so i thought id ask first befor i buy 1 ne ways time to read thanks

    well looking further into this just realised f96 is length in inches lol my bad so it will do a 8 foot 60w bulb

    I don't mean to jack this thread but what does the number on the ballast mean? I want to get two 24" T8 and have no idea what to look for.... thanks

    Giaro - try a Workhorse 3 ballast. It's OK for a 48" T8 HO, so 2-24s should be fine. Just wire them in series. You can check fulham.com for wiring diagram and matching ballast to your setup.

    Thanks for the tip I have heard of ppl using a higher output ballast to wire more lights. I don't know why I didn't think of it.... not used to it in the fish world.
