    Top-Off Temp

My new reef tank is going in the hatchery in the basement. The room temp is around 70 degrees...
I want to set up an auto top-off system but was wondering if room temp water(70ish) is going to be too cold to add to the reef tank?
On my breeding tanks I use cooler water to top off all the time since it actually triggers the spawning instinct...but I'm not sure how this will effect the reef tank...

It's only a 20g tank...so the amount of top=off water wouldn't be very much...is this something to be concerned about??

Nope, nothing to be concerned about.

The amount of water that is added via an automatic topoff is marginal.

Just keep it at room temp and you'll be fine.
