    Peristaltic pumps?

I was wondering if anyone used a peristaltic pump for an auto top-off?

I can get some Kangaroo medical units really cheap, but I just want to pull the pump and use them in a custom set-up. Does anyone know if I can just pull the pump and hook it up to my float switch? If not, I would buy a new pump unit itself if they are as good for dosing as I've been reading they are.

Hey T_M.... decided to go doser now too?

James: I don't know if a doser will cut it as a top-off. That usually requires a lot of liquid in a 24 hour period.... great as a doser for KW and supplemnents though.

Yes..., Tangman has many addictions that need doses of various things. The first one that comes to mind is dosing beer whilst he sleeps sooooo peacefully!!!

Oh!!! aaaaand... I like cheap too!!!

I don't think you can pull the pumps from them, as the hose has to be clipped into the guides. Also, it's not a pump that's used, but rather a rotating hose pincher...
