    Reef-Rat Evolution

Still alive and kickin', been busy with all sorts of projects but figured I'd let you see where the Reef-Rat design is at.

Rat head-on... all dressed in black now :thumb:

Rat with Euro-Brace/Acrylic tank mounting bracket

The Jet-Nozzle has undergone some mods.... i.e sch80 pipe to boost pressure and nozzle speed.

Pretty ordinary looking power cord ....

Actually this is a 24vac jack... inherently safe low voltage. A big plus if you worry about stray voltage and dipping your equipment occasionally... :

Basically these new Rats are dressed in black and are 24vac... can be used with a wall plug power transformer anywhere in the world....

Hey Van, It looks ultra sharp all in black.

In fact it the pipe kinda looks like the exhaust of a 67 chevy camaro!

BTW, Mine is still running like a swiss watch.

    Congrats

    Thanks Otto,

This is a 2 rpm unit running on 24vac. There's another unit coming out of the Rat-Werks this week with a 1 rpm 24vac motor.

That way these units can be used anywhere in the world as long as you have a wall mounted adapter that supplies 24vac.

Basically it'll be an "International Rat"... :

Besides after reading about people dipping their equipment in their tanks... maybe some folks are better off with low voltage units....

    Hey Van

I am sure I can get buyers for you in T.O.

send me some info on what you have come up with, and what the cost is, I will part it to my guys here in T.O. and if they like it we will buy it from you.

Buy the way I like it and I hope it performs as well as it looks
