I spoke with one of our customers and she informed me that she doesn't stock aquarium glass BUT she has the name of a supplier who does.

I'll give you their name # & contact, if they tell you that you have to go thru a distributor then I'll give you my customers name as well and she can get this for you.

The supplier is Euroverre 450-668-0804 ask for Marc-Andree Corbeil if he tells you that you need to go to a distributor then call Lise at 514-637-6778.

You can also try AFG 450-449-4646

Let me know if you get anywhere with them.

    Cool

BROWN &MACFARLANE here in OTTAWA bought all my glass from OLDCASTLE in MONTREAL. have you try'd contacting them? any glass company can supply you with the glass. Theres tonds In MONTREAL and you just shop around for quotes. No science to it and all aquariums are either regular glass or tempered.

Oh my customer told me that regular grade glass just wouldn't cut the pressures that aquarium usage would entail, that you need a special glass (not sure why, maybe thickness?)
    Weird!?

    Cool

its all about thickness and then you can get into clarity for more $$$$$. tempered can also be used in certain applictaions. most tank builders will use tempered for the bottom pane as it can handle ALOT of pressure but cannot be drilled after bein tempered.regular float glass is basically what all tanks are made of.unless of course you go acrylic

    akefan,
As John mentioned, it's all about thickness and the glass for aquariums is no different than for any other application. You just have to know what thickness to ask for. The fact that this person told you that, I would never trust any advice from them. They don't seem to know their product very well!!!
