    acid containers

    Hi,
I have been looking for some big containers that are really sturdy and sit up. I found these acid containers at cohens & cohens.. they tell me they have been cleaned.. but what can i really clean them with to make sure they are 100% clean.

they had acid to buff ciment.. so fairly strong stuff.

or any other containers from somewhere else to suggest.

I'm looking at 2.. 1 for fresh water, 1 for saltwater.
much easier to accumulate enough water for major water changes..

right now, i'm stuck doing ~ 10g per day when I get around to it...

    any ideas... ?

Well if they were filled with acid, you can bet they are clean!!
If you are worried about acid leaching fill them with salt water, and test the ph daily for a few days- if it doesn't drop dramatically, they are probably fine. if it does, you could try buffering for a while to counteract the acid.

I'd shoot it with my pressure washer to give it a quick rince!

Liv, I use the commercial grade, Rubbermaid garbage cans from Home Depot (about $40). There is a powder on the inside that takes a lot of rinsing to completely remove. I have one for salt water and will be getting another one for RO water soon.
