    1/2" Tempered Starphire Question

I am haveing a 400 Gal tank built right now and the builder can't find any 3/4" low iron glass anywhere so the other option is 1/2" tempered starphire.
Anyone ever seen the finished product? Does the tempering distort the vision of the glass?
Any other things that are weird about it?
Thanks for all comments in advance!

You may wanna ask Johnny Rock about this as he just went through the same thing when building his tank (I'm sure he'll chime in on this thread)

In the meantime do a search for 500 gallon tank and Johnny Rock, I'm sure you'll find something there...

Thanks Tangman, I couldn't see anything about distortion of the tempered glass so I will have to wait for Johnny to chime in.

Hi Johnny, Will can't get any! My concern with the tempered is that there is potential for heat distortion and pot marks in the glass. You have none of that right?
