    Kalk reactor

I've been looking at these & they appear to be (basically) an acrylic tube with a top & an external maxi.

I'm thinking this can't be too hard to do (fameous last words?)

I'd need a timer to cycle the mixing pump say for 15 minutes or so every hour.

Would it work if I T'd off my auto topoff, and had a drip line into the Kalk reactor so I get a 'dribble' of kalk when the tank needs topping up, or should I just keep the mix light enough that it won't change my pH on top off?

For practicle purposes what's the smallest size I should go for a 90G tank?

    Cheers!

15 mins every hour is too much, maybe 15 mins every 4 hours, thats how i run mine, it takes more then 45 mins for the mix to clear right

Didn't know that, I've never used kalk.

Is your reactor topping off the tank directly, or have you done something else?

    Cheers!
