    Check valve question

I have a somewhat off-topic question but I think some of you reefers may be able to offer some advice. I have a flexible tube with liquid flowing through it (liquid fertilizer). I would like to install a check valve to prevent the liquid from flowing in the other direction. Will those small air pump check valve do the job? Or should I get a check valve that is made for liquids?

The tube has an id of 0.17".

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if a check valve for air lines would last long or work properly. I never had a need to try one of them that way. I also have not seen check valves for fluids in such small sizes but I bet their out there somewhere. Wouldn't hurt to try one of them ... their pretty cheap.
