    plumbing fitting

I'm looking for a fitting that's a Y the one end is 1.5 then splits into two one inch runs...is there such an animal? the selection around here is somewhat rare so I would like to know where I could get it also =)

Vince (tangman) will likely chime in soon enough and post a link to some of the plastic / PVC sellers he has made use of in the past. Myself .. I have not in the past seen a reducing "Y" fitting but you can likely get one that is 1.5 inch all round and then attach a 1.5 X 1.0 inch reducer fitting to the tops of the "Y". You will end up with the same end result.

    tictoc,
I know that the opposite exists (2x 1.5" to a 1" output). They are called reducing Wye's.

Your best bet would be to use a standard 1.5" Wye, with some 1.5" to 1" reducing bushings on the two ends that must be smaller. If you need threads instead of slip fitting on the ends, you can use 1.5" SLIP to 1" THREAD reducing bushings as well.

    Some places to look are:
    www.savko.com
    www.plumbingsupply.com
    www.usahardware.com

However shipping will kill you on small orders. You'd be best to look locally, specifically in pool supply stores.

    Here's what I'm talking about:

    PVC Wye:

    PVC SLIP bushing:

    PVC SLIP/THREAD bushing:
