    Vitamins for Ick

Can you tell me if you know where I can get Selcon, Vitality or Zoe vitamins in Ontario? I am told that this helps alot with the treatment of ick.

we had a similar thread not too long ago.
I use both selcon and some garlic. I have had great results throughout the years.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

I used selcon and garlic in the past with success... If the local sponsors do not carry it... try giving mops (Mail Order Pet Supplies) a call. I think they stock both. Also... if you haven't tried Cyclop-eeze(fish food)... it another A+!! (I know Ottawa Inverts, Marinescape and Aqua Valley carry it)

the best and most reliable method for treating ich is hyposalinity and time. then keeping the animals immune system strong and healthy is the best preventative measure.

I was told today that its ok to lower salinity quickly but to increase slowly, do you all agree? I am feeding a variety of food 3 times a day and keeping up with water quality so hopefully that will do it.

when raising salinity, i usually just replace the evaporation ( maybe a little more ) with new SW daily.
