    Chevron looks like its shedding????

Is it normal for saltwater fish to shed?
I just got home for lunch and have notice my chevron cover in white, does not appears to be ich or any physical damages cause by other fish.

anyone have any input on this?

    Khoa,
That doesn't sound good to me... That sounds very much like brookynella (AKA Clownfish disease). I hope not because that is a fast acting and normally fatal sickness.

I don't want to recommend a treatment until it has been clearly identified what the fish is suffering.

Here's some reading material on several common fish diseases, identification, and treatments.

im not exactly sure what that is(pictures are a little blury), but is does not look to good. you might want to quarantine him, you dont want any of your other fish catching what he has. good luck

Looks like some kind of bacterial infection there. Quarantine him and treat if you can. I think a broad spectrum treatment would do the trick. Are those a shi*t load of bubbles I see in floating around in your tank? That can irritate the coat of fish....who knows what can happen if the exposure is prolonged. Glad to hear hes still eating, any erractic movement by the fish? Any other fish chasing him around? The colours look o.k. on him.... Geez I love that fish, my favorite....

It looks Cotton balls to me and if it is it is likely a fungal skin infection.
Book says ... growths like absorbent Cotton balls on the skin or skin wounds = Fungus skin infection. Caused by faulty environmental conditions, low PH, fouled aquarium, too much dissolved organic or inorganic matter. Not considered to be very contagious. Can be treated very effectively in the early stages with copper or zinc sulfate.
