    Qt Qt Qt!!!! All Items

:bawling: I recommend to ALL that you QT every single thing you put into your tank!!
I have been battling boutes of ICH off and on for months now. chances are it was with my ACHILLES [RIP]. I am now removing ALL fish from my tank and will be QT'ING them all in hyposalinity. this is not easy in a large tank or any tank because most rock will have to be removed for fish that won't go near the trap. ICH cycsts can be on anything you put into your tank, some fish can be carrying ICH without you even seeing it. its sad because I have some real nice fish and I was stupid stupid stupid not to QT a few of them. I've learned a LOT of leasons over the years and this is the MOST important one because I knew better

Sorry to hear about you're ick outbreak. Hopefully you won't lose anything. I've had battles with ich, won some and lost some. :crap:

There was a previous thread about QT-ing,
and from what i've seen, many if us walk that thin line. (myself included)
Sorry to hear about your poor fortune.
Do you have a UV setup?
Who says Dogs are the only creature that's happy to see you?

I will be purchasing a UV but that is just piece of a puzzel and will only get whats flowing thru the UV itself. UV systems are great for a QT tank.
all my fish will have to come out, ICH can be in there forever just slightly infecting fish [gills] and you not no it until something changes and then a full blown ich fest!. I'm so so mad at myself. another reason for patience :crap:

Mee too, I remember several years back I added a sick fish in my 20 g and all three fish in the tank died the next week. I think it was Brooklynella. Even though it's "only" a fish ( I eat fish, poultry, cattle, seafood, etc.) I feel really bad when these things happen.

    Good luck with the treatment.
