    Strawberry conch on rocks?

    Strawberry conch on rocks? Is he trying to tell me my sand is to clean or do they also go on live rock?

    Mine does infrequently. Never goes far though, just the first layer off the sand bed.

    I have also seen it suctioned on the glass about 2" off the sand bed.

    Once in a while mine will go onto the live rock that lay on the substrate. They can use they're mouths to clamp onto things and pull themselves up.

    How high are they going?

    They'll keep first 3-6" clean of any algae.
    I wish they could climb higher.
    I think they are the best hair algae remover.
    I had a huge outbreak last year, so I started rotating some rocks in the tank placing them one by one on the bottom. Strawberry would clean'em overnight.
    I wish they had fins. That would be nice.

    I got 2, one is doing super, the other one hasnt moved for a week but I can see its stil alive. Never saw them on rocks or the glass

    Well I was informed that my Strawberry conchs, that I bought from MS, we actually fighting conchs.

    I have seen them as high as the top of the aquairum. They work the sand, glass and rocks for me.

    Maybe you ended up with one too.

    Any pics?
