    Pseudochromis paccagnellae (Royal/Bi-color Dottyback)

Has anyone kept this fish locally? It has a real striking appearance and resembles that of a Royal Gramma. Just looking for some feedback on anyone's experience with this fish. (BTW, it would be good if the forum had a fish section).

very secretive, like the orchard dottyback, but once acclimatized, good feeder and doesn't hide as much

but territorial... i wouldn't keep any other basslets in the tank or it might start a war

most dottybacks have similar care, this one is more rare, i don't see it often in stores. i would say its a bit harder to keep then the orchard dottyback (purple basslet)

i'm sorry, did i say basslet? i meant dottyback

I have an Orchid Dottyback but I had the chance to choose a bi-colour and decided against it as it is one of the more aggressive Dottybacks.

I as well went with purple as I have read the bi color can feed on shrimp. Do not know if true, but decided against it just incase

I've had the Royal Dottyback for a few weeks now and I've not noticed any particular aggression. The fish has chosen it's own little cave in the tank and has even permitted the cleaner shrimp to clean it. I'm enjoying have this fish in the tank. My only concern is whether I can add the Green Clown Goby to the 42G as it's quite small.
