    New Owner!

Well...today was a good day. My friend that originaly got me into the whole SW craze is moving out west and cant take his tank. He took everything down and set it up at my house so that I could take care of his fish. Its not a fansy setup but its a fun start and it will give me a chance to learn. Its only a small 20G tank with live rock and a couple power heads. At the moment, it doesnt have any type of water filtering other then the rock. It has a large snail, a clown, a couple hermit crabs and a purple and orange fish (not sure of the name). The tank is in kinda a ruff state...but wont take much to clean it up. What do you guys recommend to clean some of the algea off the rocks? Should I just take it out and scrub, or is there a critter that can remove it? Ive been sitting infront of the tank all day just watching it ...he he. This is awsome.

Im thinking of getting a sump and skimmer for the tank to help clean the water.

    Congrats on the new tank....

For the algae on the rock, what colour is it?
I assume that the water in the tank now is from your friend's setup and not all new water ?

Well if it's a pic of 2 smiling girls (a blonde & a brunette and no that's not the start of a joke) then yeah I can see it. Are you asking how they should be acclimated?

    Cheers!
