    Crabs on Montipora

I just got home from work and now see the montipora under the halide. It is pretty white. When I got it you could see a sharp deliniation between the coloured portion and the white new growth - now it is all about the same colour and the blue hermits are all over it. Is it a goner?

Alk at 10, Ca at 340 (guess I can't rely on just kalk yet - back to adding calcium), pH 8.2

Crabs are all off the monti cap now.

    Anyone?

Hard to say for sure, but, it doesn't look good.

Sometimes they will lose colour and recover. If you see any algae start on the white it is final.
