    Do open brains excrete visibly?

    Hi,

My open brain just opened up an orifice and fired off a bunch of reddish brown stringy stuff. Is this a normal biological function for this species?

I also have a small cylindrical lifeform on the base on which my frogspawn is attached that fires off long wispy whitish thread like sticky looking stuff. Anyone have a clue what this is? Fish in the tank got very skittish when this happened (it was feeding time and they are usually crazy for food).

can't say for sure it could be a number fo thing

but brains do expel waste from their mouths sometimes...

the stringy stuff could be the coral's nematocysts, but if they're coming out of a tube, maybe its some kind of tube anemone?

either way it would be poisonous and ur fish will be smart to avoid it.
