    Tang as first fish?

I'm looking to put in a yellow tang as my first fish. I've heard different things about tangs tho. Are they a good fish to put in first or are they territorial? If so, any other suggestions would be of great help!

Only been in this hobby for about 2 months. Done so much research, i think i'm overloaded! :bigcry:

I have had no issues with Yellow tangs...

As long as your tank is 4 feet wide.. preferable a 75G or more... But less thatn 75gs.. you might want to concider adding him last.. as the smaller the terrirorty he can own the more agressive he can be come... Him or any fish for that fact.

Yellow Tangs are generally robust fish from my own experiance if they are given enough room and are fed well. Be careful that that fish is not 'skinny' when you buy it, and make sure it always has some greens to eat.
