    Acrylic Tanks-Where to buy?

I have had several FW setups in the past including a 65 tall. My first setup was 55 Acrylic tank that I got used and fell in love with. I had to sell it long ago but now that I am starting again have been thinking of trying acrylic again. Are there any retailers in the Toronto area that carries them, particulary the SeaClear brand?

I personally have no seen any retailer around here selling them.. Just becouse of the cost of them..

Just wondering why you would want to go acrylic? and what size of a tank are you looking at?

    2 reasons..
    1. I remember how crystal clear my original acrylic tank was.
    2. It will be located in the same room as a pool table.

I am after something in the 40-50 gallon range.

My original tank did not scratch that easily and I don't have children at home any longer. Maybe I am just being nostlagic but I remember this tank was just so much clearer than any of my glass units and had a magical quality about it.

LOL yea Acrylic is much clearer! ..

But nothing beats a nice Starphire glass tank!

Are you looking to go small like this for Cost reasons? or space?

I nice 65G tank with the viewable sides made of starphire glass.. Nothing beats it!

Space is not an issue so I could go up to 65 gal. I have not had a tank in 10 years and have not heard of Starphire glass. From what I have read it does not have the greenish tint?

Very nice, also has that magic quality. What is pricing like on this type of glass in my size range?

I know he sold it .. I think it was somthing like $800.. Now that is a custom made tank 30 inches deep and drilled... all 1/2 inch glass!

So for a tank you are looking at ... i really dont think it would be anymore than a acrylic tank!
