    Need identification advice please

I have these things in my tank. They were hitch hikers. But they seem to have multiplied rapidly.

They have these long stringy tenticles. And what appears to be no body (just coming from a central point). Just waving tenticles about the size of hairs in the water stream. I guess they are looking for food. They can retract and lengthen thier hair tenticles at will. *from an inch to 8 inches in length.

    my question is..what are they?

I call them hydra's right now. Until I know what they are.

I would imagine they are useful for catching particles from the water.

Anyone lucky enough to get one of these after buying live rock?

    Sounds like a terebellid polychaete.

You only do what you know because you don't know better.

Thank you very much, this could be very well what they are.

As long as they don't eat my fish, I am happy.
