    t5 lights

i have decided to go with t5 lighting. my tank is 48x20x24. will i need the t5 colormax along with the 10000k daylight and the true actinic? will i need only 1 of each at 48" or would 2 of each be better? or is there better t5 lights for me?

I'm not sure on what brand your going with but if going with the ARC brand.. I would go with 2x Actinic Plus($15 each) and 2x 10,000k($10 each).

I wouldn't recommend those. Those are "normal output" T5... note the wattage is only 28W(?) for 4' tube. Not saying they won't "work"... but you'll need a whole lot more of them to get enough light, which gets more expensive than it looks AND you'll probably run out of space above ur tank for enough, esp for SPS.

What u want ideally is T5HO (high output). ppl tends to just say T5, but most of the time we'r really talking about T5HO. A 4' T5HO is 54W.
    Hardwares: 50G reef tank, 30G sump & ~55lb Indo/Fiji LR. Finnex 36"x4 T5 lights, Coralife Superskimmer 220g, Mag9.5 return and SEIO820+MJ600 PH.
Corals: zoosss, mushrooms, hammer, torch, fogsprawn, blasto, crocea clam, RBTA

boyohboy is right, espacialy the high of your aquarium Reg T5 will not be good. But is you only want Zoo's Mushrooms I say you will be perfectly fine with the REG Coralife T5 Lights.
