    white growth on rock, what is it?

    I got one conk that has white growth on it. I think it's bad. What do you think?
    90 gal tank
    200 gal power fussion skimmer

    1 firefish, 1 wrasse, 1 juvi yellow tang, 1 watchman gobi
    70 pounds free Live sand,200 pounds free Live rock

    Is it spreading? does it look like a web or sponge? have a picture?

    It's spreading. And it looks like neither a sponge or web. Sorta looks like hmmmmm It's thick like coraline, but it's WHITE. and my water smells. or at least I think my water smells.

    Something smells, and it's not me.

    picture would really help.. IMHO i would adjust the skimmer to skim a little wetter then what you have it at to help get rid of the smell and what ever you have growing in your tank... PICTURESS!!!!!!!!!:b7:

    I have the same thing in my tank. It looks kind of like a sponge but feels hard to the touch. It actually has some reddish to purplish tentacles out of it. I will look a little closer when I get home tonight.
