The stores in this town suck!!

Went to check the stores for protein skimmers and nobody had one big enough.
Had an interesting visit to the LFS, walking along and I see what looks like a snake on the floor, turned out to be a FW eel (or something similar, was brown, rounded nose, no distinguishing markings). He was dead, had been walked on
The SW tanks there look really dirty to me, loads of cyano and coral skeletons. The same poor yellow tang I saw last time is becoming less yellow and still looking for a place to hide. Same pair of leopard geckos that had no water last time, had no water this time as well
I don't think I'll be buying any livestock there. Concentration camp.

Pet stores and dog breeders scare me.

I'm one of those people who are always bringing home strays. I have found like 6 homeless dogs running at large (only one was claimed). We have 5 cats (keep inheriting them from family members), 3 dogs, guinea pig and a 44gal FW tank.

We've had chickens and turkeys, the chickens were pets and egg suppliers, the turkeys were yummy, the largest being 48 lbs... 53 if you include the stuffing. The end was difficult for us, won't be doing that again.

All my furry animals are FIXED! Wish more people up here did that, there are more dogs than people.

I also have a wild teenage boy and one heck of an understanding hubby.

We actually seriously looked into moving to the Ottawa area last year. The jobs just don't pay as much as up here (that we found) and real estate is pretty high for what we're looking for (acreage with short commute). We're both geeks, if you hear of anything, pm me please

well.. as per our private pm, there are quite alot of jobs for your husband in our area and even much more in the Toronto & Montreal area
also quite a few beautiful suburbs with close commutes.
If not, the Vancouver's got great stores and lots of hightech companies.

Ya housing is getting expensive around here.... as is everywhere i heard.

There's no way we could afford to live in Van and continue having the lifestyle we have. I moved here from Van. Island 6 years ago cause there was no little on the island..

    So.. 699$ for a 108gal (60.1875" x 18.125" x 24.1875") all-glass, tempered bottom, tank only.
By my calculations those measurements equal 112gal don't they?
