    water changes and snails

was wondering, when you do water changes and the snails are snoozing near the top....do I have to move them into the water or can I just leave them there? how much time do I have to get the water level back up?
    thanks.

I wouldn't worry about the snails... unless they are causing a problem... let them go whereever they want to. I havent noticed any dead snails casued by them being out of the water by their own will.

Exactly, snails will shimmy down back into the water if they want to. Matter of fact, when snails are shipped just moist in wet paper towelling, the proper way to acclimate them is to hold them on the glass ABOVE the waterline. They will attach and slowly slither down at a pace that is comftorable for themselves.
