how long have you had him ?

    try a variety of foods:
Mysis & Mysid ( they usually love those, specially the bigger ones )
    spirulina
    garlic
    selcon

try to unthaw all in a bol, mix together, add garlic. freeze it and feed small chunks to your tank.

if he just came in like today or a few days ago.. it may be due to stress.
Is he moving around normally ?

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

he may also pick at stuff while you are not looking.. blennies can feed on junk in the tank for months.. if he's moving around and doesnt seem in distress, leave him be.. he'll probebly get all fat and happy with time

Thanks Guy, I put it in my tank on last Sat. But I don't think he is stress because he just swim around. I will try some brine and Mysis shrimp tonight.

My major problem is, they act slow, I think the damsel will eat everything before they go to the bottom, what you guys do normally? And other problem, I have a diamond goby there too, I think the goby will eat everything too. What should I do?

    Hi Liv,

I tried to feed my scooter yesterday but it seem he is not very interesting about those Mysis and Brine shrimp. And my cleaner and fire shrimp eat all of them. I want to buy some copepod in Toronto, do you know where I can buy some? Are you live in Toronto?

Scooters are a Dragonet like the Mandarin and are very slow deliberate eaters, picking at LR and sifting through the sand looking for little inverts to eat. look for a small narrow glass bottle ( grocery store? ) that only the mandarin can get in and try to offer some food that way. it's possible the shrimp and other fish (?) are just to fast and aggressive for him.

    do you have a refugium?

when you look at the tank at night do you see pods??

i'm not sure where to get PODS in the TO area though i know you can order them online.

Thanks, I kind of did the samething you mention, however, I have one Goby, 2 small cleaner shrimp have the same size of my scooter. So, sound like the plan is not success.

And about the Pod, I had a refugium but it is very young, about a month and and I have some Pod inside. However, I can't 100% sure I have enough from the refugium.

Up to now, I just can't tell he has enough food or not. So, I wish he will be fine and I will keep looking for some exact pod for him. Thanks.
