    help id coral

    Just got these 2 random corals from a local store and cannot id them. they were not labeled and just thrown in a bag for me so I didn't ask...any help is greatly appreciated...ty

    The smaller one is a species of zoanthid ("zoo"); the larger one is likely a species of palythoa ("paly").
    You could try visiting the Fragalot.ca site for common names, but be cautious, common naming can be inconsistent.

    looks like a species of zoanthid ( zoa ) but there are so many species and stores always make up they're own names ( hype ) based on how crazy the colours get.

    Perfect thanks guys...now i can get some more info...

    I have 2 more for you...1 coral and one invert...

    thinking it's a pink frogspawn

    no idea on the invert...it has 5 legs as shown...I have barely seen it...last night it moved into this hole in the rock...

    i agree with the ID of BTA but think the other is brittle sea star.

    I've concluded through yourselves and a couple other resources that it is a pink/rose bubble anemone and a brittle sea star.
