    Refuge & Maxi-jet question?

I am not exactly technically inclined so , could someone explain how one would use a maxi-jet (or any ph for that matter) to run a hang-on refuge?

    Thanks

you put it in the tank, hooked to the fuge and water is pushed into the fuge and comes back into the tank.

How do you hook it to the fuge?

I used a combination of flexible tubing and some PVC connectors. It was an improvizational task - just found ones that fit and bent in the right way to get the MJ in a reasonable place on the side of the tank.

Ok I'm getting the idea, you attach some tubing on to the exit of the mj and run it into the intake one the fuge.

If the tubing that has to attach to the mj is ie. 1/2" but the intake to the fuge is 1" what do you do? run it into the fuge?

I forgot to suggest: take the MJ and 'fuge to HD or a similar store. That way, you can test the conncetors for fit and hopefully get one of the store staff help you put togther a suitable combination.

Thanks for the input it was a great help I guess I just need to visualize things.

One last question are there any ph's out there that have multiple outlets? (one for circulation the other for the fuge)and would they work well?

IJO sells a PH with two outlets. I don't think it's specifically designed to do want you wnat but it might work.

I actually posted this because I never knew how this worked not necessarily because I wanted to set one up. Mind you since it's that easy I'm thinking about it now.

    Thanks again
