Center support in bow front tank..

would it be safe to place 175W metal halide ubove this?

    i'm thinking of lighting options..

    i was thinking of going 1 175w 10k metal halide.. and 2 no 30w True Antinic's..

would the center brace melt off?

    Fisherman,

The brace would not Melt.. but you would end up with a HUGE shadow... really really not pretty..

Your best to try and pick up two bulbs one for each side.. to clear up the Shadowing.

might not melt right away but it will become very brittle after awhile and could snap.plus what Mike said
