    Hey all!

    Hey everyone!

Nice to meet you! Glad to find a board with so many Montrealers!

I'm back after a year of guessing if I was going to do salt water or not. So, finally the 1st of May, I bagan my 1st salt water tank!

    77 Gal FOWLR Tank
    Remora HOB Maxijet 1200
    70 Lbs of Fuji-mix Rock
60 Lbs of Aragonite Reef Grade Sand (20 Lbs Sugar Sized)
    3x Maxijet 1200's
    1x 402
    RedSea Wavemaster Pro
    48" Normal Output (40watts x 2)
Tank Started 1st of May 2004
    75 Gpd Aquasafesystems RO/DI unit

Tank is cycled (for the most..) I haven't done a water change since I started the tank. (let it cycle.. watch the parameters..)
    Everything looks good!

I have some snails, crabs, peppermint shrimp in the tank. Everyone is doing well.

There is not been any algae outbrakes at all (knocking on wood!)

    Nice to meet you all..!

    Hi guys,

I had put the rock with the mantis into my salt mixing tank. But I don't think he survived.. or maybe he escaped while I removed the rock! (uh oh!) hehe.

In any case, I got the rocks in 2 locations. 50 lbs from Aqua Tropical on Decarie, cured rock. Never had probs (except aiptasia, no biggie..) then got 25lbs from Big Als from the West Island. After adding the rock ( 2 weeks later ), I decided to feed my tank "frozen brine shrimp" and notied the mantis.

But, 2 figures come into place. 1st time feeding with shrimp, and 20lbs new rock.

Oh well. I hope I got him out. I also got a video of him in my rock. Really cool to watch!
