    Unhappy micro bubble`s

Yes sir i got em! done a ton of reading on this and i have boiled it done too a few things.
    1) air leak in plumbing.
    2) to much flow from return.
    3) bubble trap not allowing enough time to break at surface.
    4) time to allow the tank to break in

Checked and rechecked connections dont think its air leaking into the fittings. I am using 1.5 returns from the over flow rated at 600gph droping 4.5 feet. i still have tiny bubbles going back into return at the other end of a 30 gal sump.happens with or without skimmer in operation. tank is only in its first week of its cycle. I ask the collective?? "what would be the best option"
    (A) bag the returns with a mesh bag.
    (B) allow the tank to fully cycle first
    (C) drop the returns down to 1 inch
    (D) rebuild sump nah dont even go there

how many baffles are in your sump? and can you see the bubble move through the sump and into your return pump? A sponge at the last baffle would help resude those bubbles that make it though. Just throwing ideas your way.

i think that that may be one way to go just thinking that it will build up nitrite to fast
same as using a filter bag.
i read that new tanks dont have much in the way of water tension as the water ages the bubbles will disapate over time sounds fishey :-) but nothing good in a reef happens fast..

i will give it another week or two to see what happens
    thanks..
