    questions about Uncured Live rock

I have some questions regarding some uncured Tonga I'm getting in the next few days..

I've never puchased uncured rock, and never Tonga, only cured Fiji. The place I puchased this rock from states that I must cure the rock prior to adding it to my display tank. This I understand as the die off will cause ammonia spikes. This rock, however, is going into a newly setup 55g tank that has barely begun to cycle. I've read that it's ok to put uncured rock in a new tank to help it cycle.

    So here's my question:

    1) Do I need to cure it, or can I just dump it in?
    2) If I do need to cure it, what's the best way to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance!

Dump it in. Skim like crazy. Do lots of water changes so the ammonia spike doesn't kill off life on the rock. This is a great way to start a tank.
