Hi LadyP, I know that Ivan carries the 4 and 7 individual size packets...I just bought some from him to recalibrate my PH meter. Just send Ivan (IJO) a private message and he can set you up on as many packets as you need.

    Hi LadyP,
If you are calibrating the pH meter for use in saltwater, you will want to calibrate it at 7pH and 10pH (not 4pH).

That said, AquariaCanada carries the needed calibration fuids.
    This is the 7pH

    And this is the 10pH

    Hope that helps.

Hey Tang Man, are you positive about that...the instructions I received with mine indicate 7 on the front and 4 on the back (inside)...and don't diffentiate between salt and fresh water testing. There's no reference to the high level Ph test of 10...why wouldn't the instructions talk about this?

After calibrating it to the 4 and 7 setting my ph consistently shows between 8.2 and 8.4 which is were my chemical test kits show it to be.

    Pubber,

I havn't received a PH-III meter yet. It's in the mail. I based my response from passed experience calibrating the Pinpoint and Aquacontroller. Both of which require the 7 and 10ph calibration solutions for high levels, and the 4 and 7ph solutions for low levels.

If the PH-III indeed requires the 4 and 7ph solutions and cannot be calibrated with the 10ph soltution, please accept my apology for the misleading information.

I'll recheck my instructions when I get home this evening...I might have missed something when I first received the PH-III. I'll repost after I look at it...I initially wondered about this when I first got it because I had asked Ivan for ph10 but switched to ph4 after reading the instructions.

Can anyone else shed light on this?
