    wetdry/live rock and sand

I'm setting up a 100g acrylic. I'm using a 55 gallon tank for wetdry filter. I have a 10g filled bio balls that sits on the rim of the 55g. the 55g will have about 40g of water in it. Now i have plenty of room should i divide the 55g and add live rock and sand with lights??? Would adding the refugium to the filter be a plus?

    Cool

wet/dry filter with bioballs are really not used that much anymore as they tend to keep nitrates high. most use skimmers and liverock/sand with sometimes a refugium.

Is the tank meant to be a reef or a fish only type tank? Most of us here are into reefs and Johnny is absolutely correct that they aren't much use in a reef but they are useful for fish only setups.
