    Not sure what this is

    I thought it was dead till my girlfriend saw it open and close. Not sure what it is, can someone give me a clue.

    Does it move? I have no idea what it is?

    Very nice candy cane coral. I have one that is that same color. They are a very easy coral to take care of. Feed him mysis shrimp, candy canes love mysis!

    Sorry I missed the open and close part, I geuss it moves. I still have no clue what it is sorry.

    It is likely a small by-valve of some sort. It is too small to show up well in the PIC.

    perhaps a small muscle of some sort, I have them in my tank and when you go near them they close up, but hard to tell from picture

    a muscle is a by-valve as are scollop's and most critters whose body is bonded to their shells. It really could be any one of the many that are out there. You will know better when it is bigger.

    Looks like it might be some sort of majo anemone... is that spines out on the edges?
