    Setting up the tank.

Does this look like enough rock or should I get some more?It is about 60 pounds so far.How long should I wait to put some fish in? I spotted a flat worm (very small) being sucked down the overflow , should I be concerned ?Is there something I should do about it?Any advice is appreciated.
That sounds a little fishy to me ! :canadian:

    Hi papacool,

how big is this tank ?
Dont get me wrong but it does not look like 60lbs to me. but could very well be if its that heavy deep water stuff.
I would personnaly add more, but depends on what you intend to keep, usually the more the better as it acts as the tanks primary filtration system.
also goes with the look you are trying to achieve, if you want your fish to have more room to swim etc.

how deep is that sandbed ?

if its a brand new setup,
you will have to wait until the rock has fully cured and your settings are down to 0.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

Well when I do the math this tank works out to be 79 gal. So I asume that sells as a 75 gal. tank. When the bed is all flat it is about 1 1/2 " thick. This pic is from about 10 feet away. The rock was ( supposed to be ) fully cured as I bought it from the store and waited to pick it up for a couple weeks.Still don't know what the heck I am doing though. Can I lean the rock against the glass and overflow? Or should I have it free standing? What about my little flat worm I spotted??

It's really up to you on how much rock to put in the tank. Compared to many tanks, I have comparitivly little rock in my tank, but I like having alot of open water. I like the look and I think my fish who like to swim appreciate it.
