    Newbie with Fish Stocking Questions

Hi everyone, I'm very new to Salt Water Aquariams but like everyone else in this forum I find them extremely addictive. I've had my 55 gallon tank up and operating for almost three months. Currently, I have 6 blue legged hermits, 6 snails and two False Percula Clownfish (they have great personality) I intend to have a FOWLR and currently have 30 lbs of Fiji Live rock with the intent to add at least 20 lbs more. I'm quite patient but over time, I would like to add aproximately three more fish to the tank. I 'm looking for recommendations on nice additions. I'm thinking about a Royal Gramma and 6 Line Wrasse. What do you think? Finally, I have two Powerheads an AquaClear 802 and 402 along with a Fluval Cannister 304. Do I really need a Protien Skimmer? I don't really have the room. All my readings are great, the Percs seem very happy and I do 10% water changes every two weeks. Thanks!

You may want to consider a dwarf angel such as coral beauty or flame angel

I must say the flame angel is one of my favourite fish... bright red with black markings... they are known to nip at corals but mine never did.

My Flame Angel hasn't pick on any corals yet. But it is a hit and miss with them. But for a FOWLR this isn't a problem

Thanks for the input - there is no question they are a beatiful fish. Is a 55 g big enough? If so would the Flame angel be best added last? Thanks again for the input this is a great forum - I'm so glad I discovered it!

Flame Angel is a dwarf angel, they do not get that big, 4" tops in an aquarium.

I don't have any fish so far but I think I've settled on the following so far for my 77gal tank

    2 percula clowns
    2 firefish
    4-5 blue/green chromis
    Copperband or Saddleback Butterfly
and possibly one tang (blue, purple, yellow or kole...)

I personnally think that you are adding too many fish for a 77 gallon, I only have six in my 75 which is a little much, your looking at 11 or so. Just my 0.02 worth

I agree... 11 might be a bit much. I currently have 6 and plan to add a flame angel(sold the last one).

    2 True percs
    1 Yellow Tang
    1 Hippo Tang
    1 Yellow Clown Gobie
    1 Spotted Mandarin
