    Dripping Kalk

I'm currently setting up a 10G nano reef. I plan on keeping mostly softies in the tank but I would also like 2-3 lps and maybe 1 sps. I was wondering if it will be necessary for me to dose kalk. I plan on doing weekly water changes of 10-15% to replenish calcium and trace elements.

    Thanks,
    Steph

Looks like I'm only a couple months ahead of you Steph.

The answer I got was test & find out Get an alk & a calcium test kit and see where you're at. Then you'll know if you need to add anything.

    Cheers!

Sounds good. What kind of levels should I aim for?

    I've been using these as a guide-line:

But I keep my salt at 1.024SG which is lower than he recommends.

    Cheers!
