    Coral Beauty & Flame Angel

    I love the Flame angel was wonder if i could get away with adding one with my coral beauty? 100g tank lots of places to hide. Same family, has any put these 2 together?

    I would not do it unless both were introduced at the same time. That would increase the odds of them getting along .... but it's not likely. It's a hit an miss situation.

    I kept both in a 46gal bow front and in my 66gal with no issues. The Coral Beauty was a mature fish, and in first. Watch the Flame for nipping clams, SPS etc.. mine did it on the occasion.

    Will a Coral Beauty eat corals like a Flame Angel?

    All angels are a gamble..., unless you get something from the Genicanthus family.

    I've done this. The flame angel was mature and in first. Much later I added a coral beauty. I hoped because the beauty was bigger there wouldn't be a problem. I was wrong - there were a lot of problems. They did work it out after a while but I wouldn't do that again.

    I currently keep a midnight and bicolor together with no problems. They were added the same time. That made all the difference.

    None of my angels have nipped corals or clams but I keep them very well fed.

    Fkame angel arrived

    Well i added the Flame Angel been 2 days with no problems. The flame angel is alot bigger then the coral beauty. Lets hope it will stay this way

    Sounds like you got lucky. You'd probably know by now if there were going to be problems.
