    just a quickie

    On bulkhead fittings does the rubber washer go on the inside or outside of the tank. i'm thinking the outside next to the nut but i'm not certain.

    The rubber washer goes on the inside of the tank against the glass, the nut goes on the outside.

    The rubber washer goes between the bulkhead flange and the glass. Some bulkheads come with 2 rubber washers, in which case you can use one on each side of the glass.

    I think it was Rob who told me that the washer can go on either side. Good luck

    If i had only one I would put it on the fitting side and not the nut to make sure that when you turn the nut you dont damage the seal

    NO .. I told you the "bulkhead fitting" can go in ether way. The washer alway goes under the smooth edge of the flange. If the washer is put behind the nut water will travel along the threads of the fitting and you would have a leak.
