    Riccordia doesn't like the clowns

My false perc has desided to host in a pair of Riccordia, the problem is the riccordia doesn't like it much.

Tonight it sucked in it's polyps so much it's completely grey all around & the clown is still "cuddling" it.

Will the riccordia get used to the clown or should I start moving it around the tank to see if the clown will adopt a nice rock or some such?

On another note, since I have MH lighting is there an Anemone that can be kept in a nano? I'm willing to move it to a larger tank and / or sell it if it gets too big, as long as I can keep it for about a year before finding it a new home (ideally)

    Cheers!

your recordea will not get used to clowns as its not natural for recordea to host clowns.

you could get a small anemone from Ivan, just one of those 30$ ones.. clowns will love it..
if they dont want the anemone, you will need to temporarily remove the recordea.

moving.. so temporarily out of SW :b8:
planning next tank, possibly 60x30x20 on 2x plasma.

There is nothing so permanent as a temporary measure.

Remember don't feed too much to the anemone. Otherwise it grow very fast.

FWIW, my clowns host in frogspawns and hair mushrooms. not only do the corals not seem to mind, the even seem to enjoy it and have grown faster (pehaps from the food the clown feeds the corals)

Hmmm... Maybe a frog spawn would be better, the more I read about anemones the less I think I want one right now.

I just want the clowns to move out of the riccordia

    Cheers!
