    Sand Storm

    Hey all,

Well I added my live rock to my tank last night and got a sand storm. I know there are ways to avoid it but I wanted to get the water in asap becuase the rock had been out of the water for a long time. It's clearing up now though. The one thing that concerns me is that there's sort of a fine coating of "sand dust" all over my rock now. I was wondering what's the best way to get that stuff off. I was thinking of using a turkey baster but was wondering if anyone had an opinion on this.

    Thanks,

    Steph

A turkey baster is the perfect tool. Once the sand gets loaded up with bacteria it will not blow around anymore. Sandstorms are commone in nature and aquariums. You'll be OK in no time.
