    Bubbles from return

    Hey everyone,

I've got a HOB refugium. I've got a small powerhead that powers it and no matter where my water level is I get little bubles that come out of my return. Is there any way to get rid of these bubles?

    Thanks,

    Steph

you are pumping the water into the unit and it flows back to the tank or is it pumping into the tank and being sucked into the unit?

Pumping the water in from the tank to the HOB. The water simply flows back into the tank by the return.

the air must be getting in by way of the power head Steve. Is it real close to the surface? if so try moving it lower into the tank.
if that dose not work put a sponge on the intake

The power head is at least 3-4 inches deep in the water so I don't think that's the problem. If you mean is the return close to the surface ... yes it is very close acctually. It is submerged thouh. I can try to raise the tank level to see if it helps with the bubles or to lower the fuge a little. Thanks for the tips Rob

    Later,

    Steph
